Background:
Thrive is an app where you can keep up to date with your diabetes education through different interactive quizzes set by your doctor.
Problem:
How can we check the patient’s confidence’s levels for their diabetes at the start?
Goal:
Creating a survey that will allow us to check where the patient’s head is at for their diabetes.

Research Methods:
To get a better understanding of patient’s diabetes education, I decided to interview a college student who has Type 1 diabetes.
Goals:
To understand the best way to receive feedback from the patient.

Alex is a college student who has Type 1 Diabetes. She's been curious on finding an app to where she can connect with her doctor.
She has tried a lot of apps to track her diabetes, however she also wants to learn on how she can improve her own diabetes education

I started out by doing a smiley face rating scale.
For the rating scale, I had very bad, poor, medium, good, and excellent to indicate the patient’s confidence level.
However after my interview, I realized that a smiley face scale wouldn’t be the most accurate scale for users.
03/Ideate
Better Solution
After the interview, I realized that a slider would be ideal for the survey. This will ensure a better and higher accuracy for patients.
They were many approaches we could’ve done for the survey such as a questionaire, however I realized that it would take too long for the patient. I would love to incorporate a more interactive slider to get more accurate results.
I had a great time working on this survey for Thrive, and can’t wait to do more work for the app in the future.
